Novel Materials & Unconventional Electronics

We work on the combination of electronic functionality with objects and surfaces traditionally not associated with electronic systems. Therefore, electronic thin-film devises with extreme mechanical properties are realized, combined with engineered functional substrates, and integrated into everyday objects. Additionally, the potential waste problem linked to a large number of distributed electronic systems is addressed by investigating healable, and reusable structures together with the use of natural materials.
